In the end of May (28-31.05.2018) Tripsy club and rafting club Reflip will take you on an exciting rafting adventure on the crystal-clear waters of the Tara River dividing Bosnia and Herzegovina from Montenegro. You can expect a lot of adrenaline, great emotions and an unforgettable experience!

Day 1 /2018-05-28/

The adventure begins

We leave very early in the morning from Sofia to Tara River. On our way, we stop at the ethno town 'Wooden City', created by world-renowned director Emir Kusturica. All buildings are wooden, and the small church and all the streets are named after celebrities - from Nikita Mikhalkov to Ernesto Che Guevara. Then we continue on the road to our ultimate destination - our camp on Tara River, as the road runs along the picturesque canyon. We transfer the luggage in the boats and cross the river as the camp is located on its other side. We arrive at our cozy bungalows, and after that, we continue with a rich dinner by the fire and a party for getting to know each other.

Day 2 /2018-05-29/

Rafting

In the morning we prepare ourselves for the exciting day that awaits us with a rich breakfast at the camp. Then we will have instructions, preparations and conducting of the rafting on the blue water and white waves of the river Tara, as the route is 17 kilometers long. On the way we stop for breaks, swimming, jumping off cliffs, photos, waterfalls, snack in the river. The final track is Scepan Polje, where river Piva joins river Drina. After the transfer back to the camp we will make a walk to the old bridge over the river Tara. In the evening our program is rich dinner, party and sleep.

Day 3 /2018-05-30/

Second rafting downhill and departure to Durmitor

The third day awaits the same emotions - breakfast, second rafting down the river, lots of adrenaline, fun, jumping from rocks, and so on. After we get back we head to Durmitor where our next sleep will be.

Day 4 /2018-05-31/

Climb up in the mountains and retire at home

The last day of our adventure will make a slight transition across the mountains to enjoy the beauty of Durmitor. After lunch departure back to Bulgaria.

TARA RIVER

Europe's tear

The deepest canyon and the largest reservoir of drinking water in Europe is located on the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. Because of its clear blue waters the river is known as the "Tear of Europe" it is included in the "World Heritage of UNESCO." White waves, azure water, untouched nature, lush green rafting camps along the river are a magical place for 4-5 days of relaxation, why not even more. The cottage where we will camp are tucked away in the heart of the canyon.

Rafting is a wonderful way for mental break from the busy lifestyle and rising adrenaline. It is a great group sport and always leads to team building. The full dose of freshness from the river will tone and load you with positive emotions. Rafting clears the mind from the stress, encounters you with new people and touches you to the unknown no matter how old you are as rafting is for everyone.

THE WOODEN TOWN

A fairy tale by Emir Kusturica

While traveling through Serbia we will stop in a picturesque, if came out of a fairy tale village where all the buildings, most of which old Wallachian shacks, are made of wood and with love to detail. The streets and squares in the ethno village wear peculiar names of celebrities such as Diego Armando Maradona, Novak Djokovic, Ernesto Che Guevara, and at the restaurant and patisserie you will just lick your fingers from the offered mouth-watering dishes. It is interesting that Kusturica got the idea for the village while watching the hill at a photoshoot from the route of Šargan Eight as the tracks of the narrow-gauge describe the shape of eight on the steep mountain Mokra Gora.

CAMP ENCIJAN - AT THE HEART OF THE CANYON

At the heart of the Tara River Canyon, miles away from modern civilization, located right at the beginning of the most exciting and very interesting rafting portion of the river, there is a place where one of the most beautiful camps on Tara River lies - and it is the only one located on the side of Bosnia and Herzegovina.The bungalows are built in the style of old chalets, providing comfort and convenience for a carefree vacation in untouched nature. As you will notice there is no elecricity at the bungalows and the bathroom and the toilets are separate buildings, just like it was at the old times at the villages. But don't worry - at the bar, where we will gather for the evenings there is electricity so you can charge your phones or anything else you need. This is a wonderful opportunity to indulge in complete relaxation, lying on the terrace over the river, enjoying the sound of Tara river and its crystal waters.
