Ready for an unforgettable holiday, we gather at Sofia Airport for our 14:30 flight to Bologna with Wizz Air. Greeted by a shuttle, we proceed to our hotel where we check in for the next 7 days! After a short break, we will have an information meeting with a representative of the agency, where we will get to know everything that surrounds us, as well as the possibilities of additional excursions and the days on which they will take place. Dinner at the hotel welcomes us with wonderful cuisine and good cheer.

We will visit one of Italy's most famous cities and one of the country's four main historic ports. Pisa combines incredible treasures of art, history and events of international significance, and the world-famous Leaning Tower is just one of the many attractions here. Neighborhoods dotted with exquisite Gothic and Renaissance palaces whose alleys are guarded by medieval "towers" reveal hidden gardens and the majestic facades of Romanesque and Gothic churches, while squares are dotted with monuments unique in their beauty and magnetism, which balance with an abundance of lively bars and cafes. During the tour here we will see the "Square of Miracles" , where you will find the Leaning Tower - one of the symbols of Italy, the Cathedral - famous for its bronze south door and the mosaic of "Christ Almighty" and the Baptistery dedicated to St. Peter. The Baptistery, the church of St. John the Baptist. You will see for yourself the words of the famous poet Gabriele Danunzio, who called the city "The Field of Miracles"! The "Red City'', as it is called, is built on three hills in the middle of the Tuscan plateau and is home to spiritual and secular monuments that have preserved both their medieval forms and their extraordinary collections of works of art, here the architecture soars as well as the souls of its many visitors! The city's historic quarters are wonderful and are as cohesive and colorful today as they were in the 17th century when the world-famous Palio horse race was inaugurated! You'll have the opportunity to stroll along the Piazza del Campo, the square that resembles an inverted seashell, and where the famous Palio is held in the summer, a tradition 800 years old! The Palazzo Pubblico, the seat of the government of Siena, has been converted into a city museum with impressive exhibits and the Torre del Mangia. This tower rises 102 meters and dominates the square. One of the most beautiful cathedrals in Italy is here - the Duomo will amaze you with its beautiful Gothic façade from the 13th century and a magnificent interior with works by Michelangelo, Donatello, Pisano, frescoes by Pinturicchio, while the marble floor of the cathedral is composed of 56 panel-paintings made by 40 artists from Siena between the 14th and 16th centuries. This splendor cannot fail to amaze you, as does the atmosphere of medieval Siena, whose streets are filled with artisan boutiques, fragrant patisseries, and tempting restaurants - a feast for the senses and a must-stop on any Tuscan itinerary! Next up is San Gimignano, the city of white towers, nicknamed the 'medieval Manhattan'. Montepulciano has been proud for centuries of its famous Wine Nobile, which you can taste in the enotecas of local nobles or in cellars located in dungeons dating back to Etruscan times. A must-stop for a fragrant coffee is the elegant 19th-century 'Poliziano', where Federico Fellini, Rossellini, Sophia Loren, Bergman ... have stopped to enjoy the spectacular views of the Val di Chiana and Val d'Orcia. Our day continues with a visit to Pienza, a town in the heart of Tuscany and the ideal Renaissance town of the 15th century, arranged on a spit of land that houses a cathedral, palaces, and a papal residence in perfect harmony! A Renaissance model for a dream city, perfectly preserved over the centuries, perched on a hill overlooking the Orcia Valley and the Amiata Mountains. Walk along the streets with romantic names Via dell'Amore, Via del Bacio - of love and of the kiss, the beautiful Piazza Pio II, and the church of Corsignano. In this town, part of the famous film "Romeo and Juliet" was filmed turning the papal residence into the palace of the Capulets! We will take you to Umbria, the green heart of Italy and the little sister of Tuscany! The capital of the region is the ancient city of Perugia, which welcomes us with its wonderful historic center, almost unchanged in the last 400 years with its many cobbled streets, arched staircases and squares, solemn churches, and magnificent Gothic palaces. Everywhere there are reminders of a vibrant and often bloody past, from ancient arches and medieval basilicas to the Renaissance frescoes of Perugino and Raphael. Our guided walking tour will pass through the central piazza with the Fontana Maggiore, St. Lorenzo's Cathedral, the Palazzo dei Priori, and the main street, Pietro Vannucci - Perugino - teacher of the great Raphael! It's a real adventure to peer into a preserved Etruscan well 40 meters deep or to walk in an underground Roman city, and while history echoes everywhere, Perugia knows how to have fun! University students fill the terraces of the cafes and music lovers flock to the town in July for Umbria Jazz, one of Europe's best jazz festivals! Don't forget to try the "Bacci" (kisses) sweets for which the city is very famous! We continue on to the next town of Assisi, which is only 20 kilometers from Perugia, perched on a picturesque hill at the foot of the Subazio Mountains. Assisi is a medieval town that has a special atmosphere - it is the birthplace of the founder of the Franciscan Order, St. Francesco called "the second Christ" and "the little beggar", canonized and secretly buried in 1226 in the crypt of the Basilica bearing his name. You don't have to be religious to be struck by the beauty of Assisi and enjoy its unspoiled historic center and the UNESCO-listed Basilica of San Francesco, home to one of Italy's most celebrated artistic masterpieces. We will visit the spectacular papal complex consisting of lower and upper church, crypt, and frescoes from the 12th - 14th centuries by Giotto, Cimabue, and Simone Martini. Cinque Terre - also known as the "Riviera of Flowers" is a group of five picturesque villages perched on the rocky coast - Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. Each of them is unique in its own way, and walking between them is like a walk in paradise! Together they form the Cinque Terre National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Winding paths cross seemingly inaccessible cliffs, and a 19th-century railway line threaded through a series of coastal tunnels, takes people from the village to village. Thankfully cars were banned here over a decade ago! Walk along the famous Poets' Bay, where Byron, Mary Shelley, and Percy Shelley forever lived, and experience the antiquity that dates back to the early medieval period - the steeply terraced cliffs cut by an intricate system of fields and gardens that have been cut, carved, shaped and layered over almost two millennia. Enjoy every moment here and capture a beautiful memory! The days of our vacation have flown by! Today, after breakfast, we are ready to leave the hotel and head to Bologna, where the last part of our vacation awaits us - a city tour included in our itinerary! Bologna is made up of two intriguing halves - one side is a hard-working, high-tech city located in the super-rich Po River Valley, where vain opera-goers stroll through royal theaters and enter some of the country's finest restaurants. On the other side is a bucolic, politically acerbic city that is home to the oldest university in the world and is famous for its graffiti-adorned plazas filled with students! After our walk here, we head to the airport for our 4:05 pm flight and 6:55 pm landing in Sofia. We part ways with the group, but with some wonderful memories and impressions of the past eight days!
