We gather at Varna Airport for a direct flight to Bordeaux, the center of the Aquitaine region! An exploration awaits us in one of the boldest and most enticing cities in Europe! The sixth-largest city in France is a unique blend of high technology, urban lifestyle, art and architecture, wine and gastronomy, nature, and history! During our tour, we will visit the modernist Wine Museum, the Saint-André Cathedral, the impressive neoclassical building of the theater, and the old quarter of Saint-Pierre. Free time in this wonderful city can be used not only for a stroll but also for indulging in the exceptional culinary scene - a blend of traditional French cuisines, experimental creative fusion restaurants, food trucks, and cafes with skilled baristas! Enjoy everything the city has to offer, including a glass of red wine from the renowned Bordeaux vineyards! In the evening, we check into the hotel, where relaxation and rest await us.

Today, after breakfast, we can have free time to explore Bordeaux or choose to join our additional offer: a day trip to the village of Cognac and La Rochelle! The mention of Cognac inevitably brings to mind the association of the famous alcoholic drink. It is to it that the town owes its worldwide reputation! Cognac was the birthplace of King François I of France, and the city center has a rich history and heritage that can be found everywhere. Our walk will continue to La Rochelle, an old fishing and trading village known as the most beautiful port on the Atlantic! Recognizable as La Ville Blanche (The White City), La Rochelle's bright limestone facades shine under the bright sunlight of the coast. One of France's most important seaports from the 14th to the 17th centuries, the town has arcaded promenades, half-timbered houses protected from the salty air by slate tiles, formidable gargoyles, and a fabulous collection of lighthouses - all reminders of its magnificent maritime heritage. Canada's first French settlers, including Montreal's founders, sailed from here in the 17th century. The day ends with a drive back to Bordeaux and the hotel where we are staying.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to one of the greatest treasures in the Basque Country - Bilbao! We will explore the old part with the Santiago Cathedral, Noeva Square, the impressive building of the Arriaga Theatre, the new cultural centre with the three-kilometre-long sculpture avenue, the Guggenheim Museum and the stunning Subisuri footbridge - the work of the famous Santiago Calatrava! Parks and squares dot the city centre, including the Doña Casilda de Iturrizar Park with its tree-lined avenues and ornamental lake, while the riverside promenades offer wonderful views of the cityscape! Our day offers exploration of a well-preserved historic area, narrow winding streets, shops and tavernas tempting the senses! In the evening we head to our hotel, where we check in for two nights.

After breakfast, you can enjoy beautiful Bilbao on your own, or join our additional offer: a full-day excursion to San Sebastian and Guernica! San Sebastian is the second most important Basque city after Bilbao and one of the most visited tourist destinations in Spain! Surrounded by golden beaches and lush hills, this city has an undeniable charm - from fine dining to majestic architecture and a rich cultural calendar! San Sebastian has a well-deserved reputation as one of the world's best dining destinations. It's a city that celebrates the art of eating well in all its forms - whether you're dining on fresh oysters and 'txakoli' (lightly sparkling white wine) at a waterfront café or entertaining over a decadent multi-course meal at a Michelin-starred eatery. The streets of San Sebastian are lined with pintxos (Basque tapas) bars, serving premium ingredients from the surrounding coast and countryside, combined with the culinary creativity of Basque chefs. The culinary capital of Spain is also blessed with an enticing coastline. The long Playa de la Concha is the city's grand courtyard, a picturesque sandy beachfront that is notable for its incredible natural form and uniquely beautiful beaches. Just off the coast of the old town is Isla de Santa Clara, a small hilly island that is a great place to escape and relax with the amazing views it provides! Our tour in San Sebastian includes : the Urumé River, over which rise the "Maria Cristina Bridge" and the "Santa Catalina Bridge"- the oldest bridge, built in 1870, an exquisite work of stone art and the entrance to the financial center of San Sebastian; the Church of St. Francis of Assisi. The Cathedral of Santa Maria was built in the 16th century and dedicated to the patron saint of the city; Urgul Hill, topped with an imposing statue of Jesus Christ; Trinidad Square, and the Town Hall. After this impressive day, on the way back we have a scheduled stop in Guernica Lumo, a small town located near Bilbao and a place so special to the Basques. The hostilities in 1937 inspired Pablo Picasso to paint the painting of the same name, which depicts the horrors of war. At dusk, we return to our hotel in Bilbao, where rest and relaxation await!

After breakfast, depart for Zaragoza, the capital of the province of Aragon, which is an important religious center. We will visit the Nuestra Señora del Pilar Cathedral, a baroque-style basilica painted by the Spanish artist Goya, which is famous as the first temple dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The ethereal image of the much-domed basilica is a strong symbol of Zaragoza, but there are many other fine architectural monuments here, including a castle with a tower-like interior in Granada's miniature Alhambra and many creatively displayed underground Roman remains. Spain's fifth-largest city has one of the best tapas and bar scenes in the country and is well known for the epochal art of the genius artist Francisco De Goya! Take your time to soak up the city's atmosphere! In the evening we head to a four-star hotel in the Zaragoza area, where we have one night planned.

After breakfast today, full of excitement, we head to the capital of Spain - Madrid! The weather is against us, so we start with a panoramic city tour by bus, which includes some of the most iconic sights - Atocha Station, Plaza España, the symbol of Madrid - La Sibeles Square, the Fountain of Neptune, the Grand Via and other impressive landmarks. The end point of this stage is the hotel where we check in and here we have free time. You can choose how to use it - explore on your own, return to some of the places we passed through and explore them up close or choose to relax and unwind in the hotel area!

After breakfast, you can indulge in a self-guided tour of the unique Madrid or join our additional offer - a full-day excursion to Toledo! The old capital of Spain is one of the most wonderful cities and represents an incredible harmony of Christian, Moorish and Jewish traditions, which is exactly why it was known in the past as "the city of three cultures". The city's historic core is home to horseshoe-shaped mosques, Sephardic synagogues and one of the finest Gothic cathedrals in Spain. In our program here we have planned a tour of the Cathedral and the Church of Santo Tomé, and walking through the winding narrow streets of the old part of Toledo, we will be transported to the Middle Ages, where the gates, castles and bridges silently testify to the time when this city was one of the most important in Europe! But the layers are much deeper, if you keep looking, the Visigothic and Roman roots will reveal themselves to you. Toledo's other strong point is its art, in particular the fascinating paintings of El Greco, the influential, impossible-to-classify artist with whom the city is synonymous! At the end of the day, we head to our hotel in Madrid to enjoy our last night here.

After breakfast, ready to go, we check out of the hotel and an organized transfer takes us to the airport for our flight to Varna. We say goodbye to all the participants of this exciting adventure and we are sure that we will meet again in another destination!
