Our holiday starts with a direct Wizz Air flight from Sofia Airport to Bologna, departing at 14:30 and landing at 15:30 local time. A transfer takes us to the hotel we have chosen for your summer holiday, conveniently located on the Rivadusa promenade. The duration of the trip is about one hour. After checking in we will meet with a representative of the tour operator who will introduce us to everything located around, as well as the additional excursions that are scheduled during our stay and the days of their implementation. Enjoy the evening with a delicious dinner, then relax in the comfort of the hotel or stroll under the night lights and atmosphere of the resort.

On our first day here, after breakfast, we have a half-day guided walking tour in Rimini! This tour is included in our program to introduce us to the main city in the area, which is located on the Adriatic Sea, close to the coast between the rivers Marecchia and Ausa. Rimini offers its visitors plenty of sights to see. Some of them are the Tempio Malatestiano Cathedral (built in the 13th century in Gothic style, it was later remodeled and has not been completed to this day), the Arch of Augustus, the Bridge of Tiberius - it is built of stone and contains five arches and many massive columns. The theater, which was built in the 2nd century and is suitable for over 15,000 spectators is quite impressive and there are also numerous churches in the city that are worth seeing. In the afternoon we head back to the hotel, you can choose to collect some sun on the beach, entertainment, or relaxation, whatever you choose we are sure it will bring you many positive emotions!

After breakfast, you can opt for beach and fun under the Italian sun or, if you have booked an additional full-day excursion to Venice by boat - the "Siren of the Adriatic"! A great opportunity to visit this world-famous city! We'll stroll along the famous Piazza San Marco with its eponymous cathedral and the Bell Tower, which to this day continues to be the setting for fabulous Venetian festivals! Here one of the attractions that please everyone is the pigeon feeding, which has become a must-stop for photos. Our walk continues across the Rialto Bridge and the Doge's Palace, which was an official residence until the collapse of the Venetian Republic in 1797, and houses works of art by Tintoretto, Veronese, and Titian. It has been one of the most beautiful buildings in the city since its construction back in 1309. Enjoy your time here and experience Venice! At nightfall we return to Rivadusa, a delicious dinner awaits us at the hotel, and then rest and relax or stroll under the night lights and atmosphere of the resort.

San Marino is the fifth smallest country in the world and probably the most curious, how it even exists is something of a mystery! The sole survivor of Italy's once powerful network of city-states, this landlocked microstate has survived long after the more powerful kingdoms of Genoa and Venice disintegrated. Yet it continues to exist, confident in its status as the world's oldest surviving sovereign state and oldest republic (since 301). Enjoy your time spent here by tasting various local products and wines. A day in the embrace of the strikingly beautiful Florence, a luscious city with centuries of history! Cradle of the Renaissance, romantic, charming, and utterly irresistible, Florence (Firenze) is the place to enjoy world-class art and exquisite Tuscan cuisine. Few cities are so compact in size and so full of exceptional masterpieces of art and architecture at every turn. The urban fabric of this small town on the banks of the Arno River in northeastern Tuscany has barely changed since the Renaissance, and its narrow cobbled streets are a film feast of elegant 15th- and 16th-century palaces, medieval candle-lit chapels, frescoed churches, marble basilicas, and world-class art museums brimming with paintings and sculptures by Botticelli, Michelangelo, and many more artists. We will have the opportunity to see the Church of Santa Croce - also called the national "pantheon"; Dante Alighieri's Quarter with his house; the fourth largest cathedral in the world, Santa Maria del Fiore with Brunelleschi's Dome and Giotto's Tower; The Baptistery of St. John the Baptist with the "Gates of Heaven"; Piazza Signoria with the Palazzo Vecchio and the Loggia dei Lanzi -a museum of open-air sculptures! Gradara is a borgo, a village or small town that protects and preserves its medieval heritage. Its impressive history makes it remarkable - two wonderfully preserved 13th-century castle walls, and a full calendar of historical reenactments in which each of the town's 3,000 inhabitants plays a specific, perfectly crafted role. A highlight of these reenactments is the celebration of the 1446 battle between the local lords Malatesta and Sforza of Milan. Borgo's other great attraction is the castle that overlooks the Gradara, known as the Rocca in Italian and built between the 12th and 13th centuries, is the scene of one of the most famous stories in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. Several churches and a baptistery in the city house one of the most dazzling collections of early Christian mosaics in the world, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. Once the capital of the Western Roman Empire, Ravenna was the capital of the Ostrogothic Kingdom of Italy and the center of a powerful Byzantine exarchate for three centuries beginning in 402 AD. During this prolonged golden age, while the rest of the Italian peninsula experienced barbarian invasions, Ravenna became a fertile art studio for skilled craftsmen who covered the city's terracotta-brick churches with heartbreakingly beautiful mosaics! We'll stroll into the center of town to see the Basilica of St. Apollinaris - decorated with some of the later Ravenna mosaics from the mid-6th century; the Baptistery of Arius, the Basilica of St. Spirit and the Basilica of San Vitale - famous for its unique Byzantine mosaics. In the evening we return to Rivadusa, a delicious dinner awaits us at the hotel, and then rest and relax or stroll under the night lights and the atmosphere of the resort.

The days of our vacation have flown by! Today, after breakfast, we are ready to leave the hotel and head to Bologna, where the last part of our vacation awaits us - a city tour included in our itinerary! Bologna comprises two intriguing halves - one side is a hard-working, high-tech city in the super-rich Po River Valley, where vain opera-goers stroll through royal theaters and enter some of the country's finest restaurants. On the other side is a bucolic, politically acerbic city that is home to the oldest university in the world and is famous for its graffiti-adorned plazas filled with students! After our walk here, we head to the airport for our 4:05 pm flight and 6:55 pm landing in Sofia. We part ways with the group, but with some wonderful memories and impressions of the past eight days!
